This guy uses his triler winch(with photos) I do not beleive this is required. The strenth required is not extream. I think this may be more dangerous, because it allows more time for something to go wrong. This guy build a rig to raise mast (with photos) I beleive this is far more complicated than required. But he says this lets him do single handed mast raising/lowering. ( he even admits that it's better to just do it by hand with 3 people)
